Contract · 1 yr 4 mos · Boston, MA
Lead Software Engineer, BridgeOTW Team
May 2026 - Present · Hybrid
Leading 3 engineers alongside a PM and UI/UX designer on a realtime bed availability platform for Bridge Over Troubled Waters, a Boston nonprofit serving young adults experiencing homelessness.
- Architected the platform in Next.js and TypeScript on Supabase, designing the live availability system that tracks all 12 beds in real time with claim indicators and a 6pm auto-lock on unclaimed beds
- Built a waitlist with real-time position tracking and a low-connectivity lookup tool, so users without reliable cell service can still check their place in line
- Implemented flexible authentication (username/password or phone verification) for equitable access across varying device and documentation situations
- Partnered with the PM to scope features and resolve open questions, including the live-dashboard versus camera-feed privacy tradeoff
- Ran the engineering workflow for the team: breaking down features, delegating, reviewing PRs, and aligning decisions with the client and Director of PM
Lead Software Engineer, Phonics Team
Jan 2026 - May 2026 · Hybrid
Led 3 engineers building a full-stack phonics web app for 2nd-grade classrooms at a Massachusetts elementary school, replacing physical letter tiles that get lost and slow group instruction.
- Built the core digital letter board in Next.js and TypeScript with dnd-kit, letting students construct and deconstruct words to practise digraphs and vowel teams
- Modelled teacher accounts and lesson relations in Supabase Postgres
- Set up a CI/CD workflow on GitHub Actions with Snyk and ESLint for security and reliability
- Designed a responsive Tailwind UI with constrained tiles, fast reset for repeated exercises, and subtle positive feedback tuned not to overstimulate young learners
Software Engineer, Infrastructure Team
May 2025 - Feb 2026 · On-site
Rebuilt the chapter's website, which was developer-dependent for every content change and difficult for student applicants and clients to navigate.
- Built a new admin panel in Strapi CMS with role-based access control mapped to e-board roles
- Moved 85% of site content into Strapi, reducing developer maintenance
- Rebuilt the frontend in React with responsive design and improved navigation, increasing application engagement by 100+ clicks
- Shipped an event gallery, Coffee Chat scheduling, application management and CMS-editable sections
- Delivered documentation, SEO optimisation, and a handoff template other university chapters can reuse

04/Teaching
Computer Science Teacher · Maimonides School · April 2024 - Present
Two years teaching high-school computer science, and the reason I can explain a system before I build it.
I teach year-long high-school classes in AP Computer Science Principles, working through Python and JavaScript, and I write the lesson plans and projects that go with them. Before that I taught an Introduction to JavaScript course to middle schoolers, building the projects they used to practise on.
I also tutor one-on-one for the AP Computer Science A exam and for the new AP Cybersecurity exam.
Teaching is not a side note on this page. Standing in front of a class that does not yet understand recursion forces a kind of clarity that carries directly into engineering: into PR review, into scoping a feature with a nonprofit client who does not think in schemas, and into deciding what a system should be called.
